Karma And You: Shri Ram Guidance
Good deeds are a path to Dharma. No matter whether the person doing good deeds is living a wealthy life or not, his wealth lies in his good deeds, and his success is in becoming a wise person. He is already rich and strong.
People often take the power of good deeds for granted. They get depressed easily when they see that their efforts have not yielded the expected results. Many people are confused by the concept of Karma. They believe that their good karma has not been returned.
However, the point of karma is that what we do on the outside is simultaneously happening within us. For example, when we do something good, we feel good inside. Our day begins with positive thoughts, satisfaction, and increased self-respect. On the other hand, when we do something bad, we begin to feel angry with ourselves. Our self-image declines, and we lose confidence. We become weak from within, unable to answer our own conscience.
A lot happens to the wrongdoer internally, even though it may not be visible on the outside. He falls in his own eyes, starts keeping himself busy with addictions and the loudness of the world, so that he doesn't have time to face himself and listen to his own voice. (Seeks the noise of the world to avoid facing themselves and hearing their own voice.) He begins running from his own self, leading to sleepless nights and worsening conditions. Meanwhile, a good doer remains peaceful, confident, courageous, and free from attachments. He takes one step further on the path to Dharma, and Dharma is happiness.
